The second way to pin an app to the taskbar does not require the app to be running first. When the app’s icon appears on the taskbar to indicate it’s running, right-click the icon and select the “Pin to taskbar” option from the context menu. There are two ways to do this. The first is to open the program, either from the Start menu or an existing shortcut.

Win + C – To open Cortana in listening mode #5 – Move taskbar to left or rightġ – Right click on any empty space of taskbarand click Taskbar Settings.Ģ – Now, you can choose Taskbar location on screen and change it to left, Right, Bottom or top as your wish and preference.
Win + S – To open Cortana in keyboard input mode Cortana can still be accessed using the following keyboard shortcuts. Now if you wish to remove Cortana altogether, you can choose the Hidden option. Hover your mouse around Cortana.Īs you can see in the image below, Cortana will now appear as an icon.
For devices such as tablet or note which have touch keyboard, it wouldn’t be wise to remove this icon.
